Loving God

Celebration in Worship

Magnify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together” (Psalm 34:3).

Opportunities to praise, hear, and respond to God in light of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection form the basis of our worship encounters. Participation in worship is both an honor and a privilege.

Sacrifice in Giving

“Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as they had need”  (Acts 2:45).

In response to Christ’s abundant giving and the price he paid for our redemption, we submit our resources to his control and demonstrate a spirit of generosity and cheerfulness in supporting his work through the church.

Faith in Practice

“Just as you received Christ as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:6)

We desire to honor Christ in all that we do. We believe that Christians are called to live a life of integrity, character, authenticity, and total obedience; giving a verbal acknowledgment of our commitment to God.

Prayer in Everything

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with             thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”  (Philippians 4:6)

We acknowledge our need for God’s power and guidance that is available to us through prayer. It is in these private moments with God than an intimate and growing relationship is strengthened. Prayer is a means by which we experience his presence and by which we yield ourselves to him. We are able to face life because we first face God.

Loving People

Passion for Evangelism*

“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15)

Through personal relationships, modeling the Christian life, and sharing a verbal witness we help people move toward committing their life to Jesus Christ. This is God’s call for every believer.

Family in Relationships

“You are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.” (Ephesians 2:19)

We are committed to building lasting relationships and fostering a spirit of family in all that we do. Loving relationships permeate every aspect of church life.

Equipping for Service

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

A well-equipped laity is necessary for the effectiveness of ministry. Training prepares us for a life of responding to the needs of “the least of these” for whom Christ also came to serve.

Equality in Ministry

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”  (Galatians 3:28).

We respect the call of all Christians to minister and serve in the name of our Lord. We believe that a church should operate as a unified community of servants with everyone using their spiritual gifts.

Hope in Heritage

“Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1).

We are indebted to the people who went before us and we continue to build upon the foundation they laid – God’s Word is our only creed and Jesus Christ is our authority. As an independent body we cooperate with other believers in extending the kingdom of God, but are answerable only to God. We respect the right of other churches to make their own decisions and we cherish that same freedom for ourselves.

Love in Action

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13).

We share God’s love through our words, actions, and ministries. His love compels us to move beyond the walls of our church into a hurting and lost world. Every mission and ministry opportunity is fueled by love. By love all people will know that we are Christ’s

Grace in Abundance

“God is able to make all grace abound in you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

The grace of God that saved us is only part of his work within us. He lavishly pours into our lives blessings that we do not earn or deserve. In turn, we extend his grace to others. In this place people experience healing, compassion, second chances, and the freedom to navigate their own spiritual journey without judgment or legalism. We celebrate the individual uniqueness, personality, life experiences, giftedness, opinion, and contribution that every person brings to our church body.
